Woke up yesterday around 10, didn’t do much, then headed to campus for 2 and sorted music with Scott till 6. We finally finished!!! Heather came to meet me on campus and then we went home so that she could drop her stuff off. Then we went downtown to see Mark’s new place! Itz niceeee =]
After that, headed home and then headed to bed. w00t!
Heather came over in the morning to hang out for a bit after her first exam. We made some lunch and then we went back upstairs to hang out. I just chilled and she studied more for her next exam which was at 7 later last night.
Around 2, I headed downtown to meet Matt and Val for some YoYo’s… mmm yogurt =b We talked for about 2 hours and caught up and made plans for the summer and stuff. Those two are always awesome to hang out with, reminisce and just have a good time. I’m so thankful I’ve had those two for the past 8 years.
After that, went home, helped Megan with the desk, then moved Ryan’s section (part 1) up from downstairs and then made dinner for Heather. She left for her exam, and I headed over to Megan’s to help move. Ryan and Mark were already on their way back so my help wasn’t needed -_-” Anywho, when we got back, Mark helped move the other part of the sectional up (the one with the fold out bed) and I helped with the cushions and moving around of boxes and stuff to make room. Then Ryan moved the TV up.
Then we ordered ring-a-wing! mmm =b We took all of our garbage and recycling out. Watched the Biggest Loser… too bad it was only an hour. Then we watched some Jackass 3 before Amanda, Megan and Jordan left to go home. It was kinda sad to say bye to them from our, collective, house. Then Ryan and I did a little more cleaning. Walked to HiYa for some garbage bags and then came back, and watched a couple episodes of anime together before we both headed to bed.
I don’t really remember much of yesterday. I got a bunch of emails out for jobs, and then posted an ad for my couch on kijiji that got replied to like 2 hours after and they even moved it out. I didn’t have to do anything! Other than that, hmmm… had some spam for dinner =b and then watched some hockey with the ferg with a couple of beers haha.
I woke up at 11:30 yesterday and was pretty productive. I packed Ben’s belated birthday present (Seasons 1-4 of The Guild!) and drew him a card… it had a decepticon logo on the front and a tardis inside hehehe. Then I made some Sidekicks for lunch.
Melanie came to get me around 2:05, she forgot some stuff so we went back to her place to grab it, then off to the Williams’ we went! We were the first guests to arrive, but it was pretty cool. Heather was busy mixing drinks for the family and I was browsing her drink book. Mostly laughing at the X-Rated drinks section lol (like Cum Fuck Me Punch or Frog Cum).
Her relatives started arriving bit by bit and there was a flurry of Easter gifts/birthday gifts exchanging/giving. I was at the Williams’ Easter family get-together 2 years ago and I still have chocolate leftover from that haha, but now I have even more chocolate -_-“
After lots of chatting and socializing, people got together for dinner - turkey, stuffing, broccoli, salmon, portobello mushrooms, ham and lots of sweet potato fries! mmm XP
After dinner was coffee and dessert (4 layer lemon dessert). Then there was a lot of chatting and TV watching. Heather and I were in her room for a bit, talking, relaxing, just being together before going back downstairs. People started leaving and we said our goodbyes. Melanie and I left around 9 with all of our chocolates and goodies.
Once I got home, I watched some TV with Megan, then went to my room, played a little Sims 3, then watched some Jackass and then went to bed.
I woke up around 11, took a shower and then headed to campus to organize some of the band’s music with Scott before I had to go home for the summer. We planned to meet for 1:30, but since it was the holiday bus schedule for Good Friday, I ended up waiting like 40 minutes for a 2. Christine came to open Alumni Hall for us since that was closed and we got in and started to work.
We’ve finished sorting all of the music into their respective title and score order and only managed to finish putting away the Western Song -_-” I had to sort through a stack about half a foot tall… Why? Why would anyone think that we needed 30 sheets of trombone 3? Crazy.
Anyway, we spent about 4 hours sorting through all of the music and we’re gonna meet up again on Wednesday to finish the job.
After that, I went home and ate dinner, watched some tv with Megan, bought The Sims 3 and played that till about 5 in the morning before going to bed.
I woke up at 4:30PM today, watched tv with Megan, cleaned a little, played more Sims 3, went to McDonald’s to pick us up some food and then watched Jackass 3. That’s all I did today.
Woke hyoung up at 9, she gave her mom a call to let her know what had happened. I called the police station and found out that it was closed for Good Friday so we HAD to get it done that day. I grabbed my laptop so that I could study in the car and off to Sarnia we went! First we went to her dad’s work place to get the document and then BRIDGE FRIES! omg… so delicious lol. It was like the best thing to have come out of this situation.
Of course she soaked her fries in vinegar again and on the way back to her house, I had mine and hers in my lap. I was happily eating away at mine for about 10 minutes before I realized that the vinegar had completely soaked through my sweats and left a huge wet patch about the size of a football. -_-“
Anyhow, after that was all done, we went back to London and straight to the police office and everything got all sorted out ^^ Then I went to my exam which was at 2, wrote that in like 40 minutes and then got a ride home with the gf. Once I got home, I just sat for like half an hour, which was pretty nice. Then I helped hyoung load up her car a bit and then played some Halo. Then off to Thamesville! The trip was nice.
The town is really small, but super sweet =] Her apartment is also pretty sick! Helped her unpack, build her room and set up her kitchen a bit. Kind of get it started looking like a home! We were there till about 8:30, then we headed back to London. On the way back, I taught her how to say numbers in Cantonese. That was a lot of fun!
After I got back, watched some tv with Megan, then went to my room and watched Jackass 1 and 2 and then went to bed.
On Wednesday, I spent most of the day studying and reading for my human sexuality psych exam. I didn’t get much progress, and after a while, I just went downstairs to chill with Jeff, Andree, Hyoung, Ryan and Sarah. We played some Scattergories, this word and drawing association game, and then some Super Smash Bros.
A little after midnight, I gave Jeff and Andree a ride home. On my way back, Andree called me to tell me that she’d left her wallet at our place. I turned around, picked her up and brought her back. Her wallet was downstairs. lol Then Hyoung said she wanted to come, so the three of us piled into her car and were off.
After we dropped Andree off, we went to Tim Horton’s and got coffees and smoothies. We decided that we wanted to drive around a little more and hyoung suggested we go to Hamilton and Highbury (apparently really sketchy), so off we went! Down Richmond, I saw a car that was pulled over on the right and I said, “What a loosa.” Hyoung said that Dundas was pretty busy so I turned left onto it from Richmond to see some “nightlife”. Then a cab driver off to the side of the road gestured to me, and hyoung noticed that a cop was behind me signalling me to pull over. Apparently turning right or left onto Dundas from Richmond at ANY time is illegal. -________-“
So he comes up to me and says, “Hi, license, ownership and insurance please? Do you know why I pulled you over?” “uh no… sorry, this car is her’s” *hyoung ruffles for the ownership and insurance* Her documents weren’t on her since she didn’t bring her wallet. “It’s illegal to turn left there. Where are you guys from?” “Mississauga” “Sarnia” “How long you been in London?” “uh, 4 years.” “4 years and you didn’t know you couldn’t turn left there?” “Well, this isn’t my car, I don’t usually drive.” Then the officer returned to his car.
While he was gone, hyoung and I talked about being calm and we were both super surprised that he didn’t ask why hyoung wasn’t driving and he just didn’t ask us any questions that we expected. Then I said, “Look! Now we’re loosas!” lol
After a while, he came back with some paperwork in his hands and he said, “I know this looks bad, but I’ve got two tickets here for you. One each for failing to provide ownership and insurance documentation. I’m not going to give you a ticket for the illegal turn because it would cost you demerit points. But I’ll also give you 48 hours to provide documentation for these two tickets and they’ll go away. You guys have a good night now.” (Ownership: $110, Insurance: $65)
We went home after that… >_> Hyoung found the insurance, but the ownership to the car was in Sarnia…
Conclusions: If Andree had remembered her wallet in the first place, I wouldn’t have gotten a ticket. =b I KID Andree, <3
I was coaxed awake at 9:58AM yesterday morning so that I could watch Ellen with the gf and her brother. Good thing it was a hilarious episode lol Tina Fey was on, she was promoting her new book (which I’ve decided that I will buy) and I really don’t remember much else that happened.
After the episode, we hung out in her room for a while, and then her brother left to go to Toronto to see Rush with his gf. Heather made lunch while I dicked around on the computer a little more and after lunch we hung out before leaving: she to work, and I, home.
We got on the 26, then transferred to the 10. She got off at Westmount and I continued on. On Sarnia, I got off to transfer to a 9, which takes me right onto Platt’s Lane! Laziness ftw. The driver was kind of rude, but whatever. Got home, tried to study a little bit, but eventually just went downstairs to watch Ryan play a little Portal 2 (he beat it later last night… 7 hours I think he said) and then watch some Wanda Sykes with Hyoung.
Hyoung had to clear out her chicken since she moved out today and made all of us chicken fajitas for dinner. After dinner, we sat around and watched The Biggest Loser. Then I went downstairs to watch the rest of Wanda Sykes, after that I pretty much went back upstairs to study and go toooo sleeeeeep.
I woke up at 9 in the morning to go downstairs to check on our crashed guests =b Elizabeth wasn’t feeling too well and spent much of the morning trying to make herself puke. Then a couple of us decided that it was probably best if we went outside to walk and get some air, so Ryan, Sarah, Elizabeth and I headed over to Cherryhill for Mother Hubbard’s all-day breakfast! Apparently I always find out about things very late… *sigh.
After that, we headed back, Elizabeth took a nap while Heather and I went out to run some errands on campus. After we finished that, we went home, I packed and we took Elizabeth home. From there we went to Heather’s and we watched some Ellen, the Helen Mirren SNL episode (again) and after some messing around online/studying (*coughcough*) we had dinner.
After dinner, we went back upstairs and I blogged for Saturday and Sunday because I neglected those, and then after more onlineness, we went to bed.
I didn’t get out of bed till noon. It was super exciting when I did though. Went out to the living room and then watched the 2011 Dog Show Championships for an hour! lol
This next part is actually exciting though. I went back into the room to change, and when I came out, hyoung told me that I got a text message and that Stella really didn’t like it. (the ringtone was that one where a dude says “message” over and over again, gradually raising his voice and screaming) I thought, “okay” and then walked over to my phone to check it, but before I could even get near it, Stella got up, barked at me several times and started growling. uh oh… Hyoung immediately got up, yelled at Stella to stop and then held her by her collar and scruff of her neck.
Things settled down considerably from there. Poor Stella. Hyoung took her out for a walk. Stella was feeling pretty bad though, but returned to her cheerful self soon after that.
Hyoung and I went out to the LCBO to grab some stuff for our End of Year party, got back, and within half an hour, her parents got back from visiting hyoung’s sister in Owen Sound. That was pretty exciting for Stella =b We sat around, talked, they caught up and discussed details for when hyoung was gonna move out and into her new place.
We headed out around 4, picked up some snacks and then got back to London around 5. We ordered pizza for dinner and got it around 7:30. At 9, we decided it was time to mix the strip. We mixed it in a giant container that fit perfectly into the sink. We filled the sink with cold water to keep the drinks cool and things were awesome! It started off pretty chill. A good mix of people and we were just talking. After a while, we decided that it was time to play some strip pong. By strip pong, I mean beer pong, but with strip-and-go-naked. We also had them in steins haha. Good call. Then things went down hill from there. We were loud, we had fun, body parts were flashed and hilariousness ensued.
We got bored of that after a while, so we headed to the basement so that Ryan and Rebecca could have their wrestling rematch. 6 minutes later, we took an awesome video and people started to calm down. After some water, Ryan had the brilliant idea that everyone should take a shot of Crown. Bad idea. Then we put on some Despicable Me, but then people got tired… and everyone pretty much crashed around 3am. Just 1 hour shy of our facebook event end time lol.
I woke up at 8 and got ready to go to my 9AM exam. I got out to the bus stop at around 8:15 and missed the first bus. By the time the next one rolled around again at 8:30, it was already packed and drove by me. I walked to the next bus stop and it didn’t get here till 8:45. Oh well, whatever. Just as I was about to step onto the bus, I pulled out what I thought was my bus pass… but it was Heather’s and all I could think was, “fuck my life….” (later she said, “I hope that’s the only time you say that when you see my face =b”) So I stepped onto the bus and showed the bus driver that I grabbed the wrong pass in the morning and he said that it shouldn’t be allowed, but he let me get on the bus anyways. Phew. Of course I thanked him profusely.
Once I got there, we were ushered into the exam room pretty quickly. When the proctors came around to check IDs, I said I didn’t have mine, and she brought over my TA to look at me and confirm that I was in the class lol. The exam itself went well. It had such questions as:
"Is elderly abuse over or underestimated?" The answer is underestimated… but allow me to give you one of the other choices. "Overestimated: because the elderly like to complain and draw attention to themselves"
"What is the function of a funeral?" The correct answer is "in order for the family and friends of the deceased to come together to commemorate the individual and provide a social support group." One of the possible answers was, "In order to remind everyone present of what was waiting for them at the end."
So yea… I was loling through that entire exam. After my exam, Heather met me outside of the exam room to trade bus passes and we made our way back home. We had a nice talk while we waited for her mom to come and pick her up. After she left, I cleaned the kitchen, sat around and watched some TV with Megan.
Hyoung came back around 2 to pick me up and off to Sarnia we went! The drive there was pretty interesting, not much to see, but I like looking at everything haha. There was the Sarnia Airport.
It’s that brown building, I think the big beige one is the place where they keep the vehicles.
Once we got there, Hyoung gave me a tour of Sarnia!
This was her highschool.
Her elementary school.
We went to see their lighthouse. Cute, isn’t it? That’s also Lake Huron =]
Under the bridge! Across the way is the states!
Then she took me to feed the fish! That is probably the largest rainbow trout I’ve ever seen… my estimates are ~15lbs. O_O Feeding them was awesome! They were crazy for the nibblies.
After that, she took me for some bridge fries, which, I think I agree with her, are the best fries I’ve ever had. They also have something I’d never seen before.
A vinegar nozzle?
Then we went back to her place and I finally met Stella!
We hung out for a while, chilled on our laptops, watched some TV, fell asleep in our respective chairs. Took Stella out for walks, gave her treats and stuff. Good times!
We made pasta and chicken for dinner and after we were done, we went to go pick up her friend Julie. Stella seemed to think something exciting was going on because we were getting ready to go out, so we hyoung was like, “okay… we’re going in the car, so you’re not gonna like it much.” We put her on a leash, and went out to the car. As soon as she registered that she was gonna get in the car, she panicked. I gave the leash back to hyoung and she picked Stella up and placed her in the back seat.
We got to Julie’s, picked her up and brought her back to hyoung’s. Stella bolted back to the door, she wasn’t very impressed in the car lol. Then we played some Scrabble. Pretty awesome game. It was close… except hyoung beat Julie and I by like 60 points. Julie and I tied.
After that, we took Julie home, and when we got back, we watched last week’s episode of SNL (Helen Mirren and The Foo Fighters), some live Coachella (Mumford and Sons) and then headed to bed.
I woke up relatively early to study… didn’t end up doing that haha. Messed around online and watched some TV downstairs, and did a little bit of reading. At 6, Heather and her mom came over to pick Ryan and I up for our Wall of Champions performance. It was our last event as band members ever! *sigh… so nostalgic. Heather and I never did get our tunic pictures haha. We’d been planning on doing it since first year!
The performance went well, and we went over to Michael’s Garden right after and we got free pizza! That was a lot of fun =] The Dasani bottles provided drumline and I great amusement for like 15 minutes. We basically stood them up and hit them to try to make them do a full front flip and land back in the position that they started in. We were close… but unsuccessful =[
After that, we went home, Heather, Mark, Rebecca and I got ready to head out to Lavish. It was ladies’ night and a white party! We left our place at 10:45 and when we got there, there weren’t that many people there… it did fill up much more throughout the night, but by the time it was like 12:45, it still wasn’t packed. Steff made it out too! Which was awesome since she also had an exam the next morning like me. Heather had a lot of her old friends there, so it was nice to finally get to meet them =] I had an exam the next morning, so the four of us headed out just before 1, called a cab and headed home. Steff also left around the same time as us.
I studied till about 2:30 and then got into bed.. zzzzz
I woke up at 7:45 yesterday, 3 hours later than I had planned to because I wanted to get some studying in for my 9AM Classical Mythology exam before I had to write it. That didn’t end up working out, so I just got up and got ready and read over my notes quickly. Hyoung gave me a ride to school and I wrote the exam. I think it went well… not as well as it could have but whatever, 1/4! After that, I gave her a call and she came and got me. We went to timmies and she bought breakfast and she got me a mixed berry smoothie. ^^ yummy. Then we went back to campus, she went to school and I drove home.
When I got back, I hung out with Ryan and Sarah a bit. We went to Brescia for lunch because she has too much money left lol. We all got grilled cheese and then near the end of it, she noticed that she had left her cell phone at our place and that she had to go see a house at 1 lol. So we sped back to our place. We also took our empties out and sorted them. Sarah cut her finger and it bled a stupidly large amount for the small cut that it was. I cleaned it up for her and gave her a Hello Kitty bandaid =3
So then we took her back to Brescia on our way to the beer store. We ended up with just enough money to buy a 24! Carling in honour of Michael Pace. =]
After that, we went home. I hung out downstairs and watched this week’s episode of The Biggest Loser. Megan came down to join me and then around 4, I went to pick hyoung up from school.
After that, came back home and hung around downstairs again. At 7, Megan and I went to McDonald’s to meet Brock for dinner, after that, I picked up some for Rebecca and Mark and headed home. They were making Cinnamon buns! Yum =] Too bad they made it with dead yeast haha. Well next time I’m sure it’ll turn out better.
Then instead of studying, I hung out, at 9:30, Mark, Ryan and I hung out in the basement and watched some SCII. Once those games were done, I headed to bed and pretty much passed out before midnight.
I woke up at a reasonable hour… something like 11 or something and then hung out downstairs for a while. Some time after noon, I gave hyoung a ride to campus and we saw this awesome old car parked outside of the music building. After I dropped her off, I swung by and creepily took a picture. Observe!
I also swung by the band room to say hi to Heather; she was there training Matt and Andrée was also there, just hanging out, studying or whatever. Then I headed home and when I got back, Megan and I watched last week’s episode of The Biggest Loser.
Heather came over at 2 and we went out for some bubble tea =] She got a papaya milk tea with tapioca and I got a mint chocolate milk tea with tapioca. I don’t recommend it, although it did taste better as it got colder.
Mine’s on the left =]
Heather left shortly after that and then I left to go pick hyoung up from school. When I got back, I headed out with Megan to meet Brock for dinner at Prince Al’s. I got a burger, Brock got a poutine, Megan got a burrito and we all got milkshakes! Brock spilled half of his though lol There was this winning picture there though
After dinner, we walked up Richmond Row and back home. On the way, there were these 3 girls that walked in front of us with matching outfits. They were pretty much cookie-cutter girls. Same shoes, same pants, same hoodies in different colours and same coloured hair. Crazy. While we were walking, Brock was on his phone and I turned to Megan and said, “Is 3-ply too much?” (This was in reference to the new toilet paper I’d bought.. it was really thick >_>) and Brock, to his brother, said, “Well it depends what you’re using it for.” hahahahaha Amazing.
Here are a couple of things we also saw on the way:
"Summer is coming, get your gear here. Parking in rear."
Why yes, this looks like the perfect place to take some money out.
The Dreaded Ginger!
After our trip, Megan and I settled in and watched TV. I tried to study some more… that didn’t work out too well. We watched Survivor and after that I went upstairs to study some more.
I got Heather to give me a wake up call at 9 this morning, too bad my home phone has horrible reception (or maybe it was just the headset in my room) and she couldn’t hear anything I said unless I yelled it at her. I got pretty frustrated and told her to forget it and I fell back asleep. I got out of bed around 11:30 when I got woken up by my lamp falling over. That scared the shit out of me and I couldn’t really fall back asleep anymore.
I got out of bed and then went out into the living room to get on my laptop and do my daily website browsing. Good thing I spent some time last night looking over my Classics notes. Anyhow, around 2, I went out to get some lunch (McDonald’s. pitiful, I know. I have the car for 2 whole days and I only use it to go get McDonald’s for lunch -_-“) Anyway, got a big mac combo and came home to eat it. The fries were a little undercooked, but that’s okay. When I opened the box to the sandwich, it was like this perfect little burger looking up at me! =]
After lunch, I did more interneting and then I packed all my stuff so I’d be ready for when my parents got home. They got home at 3:45 and we pretty much left right away for the train station. Traffic was a little slow but not too bad since it was still slightly before rush hour and we made it to the station at 4:20. My train wasn’t scheduled to arrive until 5:11, so we took our seats and talked for a while. The train was right on time (for a change) and I got on and sat next to this lady who was reading a book and drinking a Coors Light.
I sat down and took my Classical Mythology text out and flipped to Aeschylus’ Agamemnon and she noticed that I was reading ancient text. She seemed pretty intrigued by it. We started talking a little. She showed me her bookmark; it was given to her by her niece, after she got back from Egypt. It was kind of like a translation key thing, written on papyrus. She must’ve shown me because she saw that I was ready classical stuff, but ancient Egyptian culture really doesn’t have much to do with ancient Greek, so yea >_>
She also told me that she was from Belleville and that she’d been traveling since 1:45 to get to London to attend her last aunt’s funeral. She was wondering when the trolley man would come by again so she could get another beer (he never came around again). She said that she’d lived in London for 2 years many years ago and we talked about how London’s expanded but hasn’t really changed. Once we got to London, we had an awkward separation as she went to the baggage claim area and I went outside to wait for hyoung.
Hyoung arrived at 7, accompanied by her classmate, Brian, and we went to East Side’s for dinner. w00t! All you can eat bread and salad! Anyhow, Brian got picked up by another friend and hyoung and I had a nice dinner. After dinner, we went home and we watched some live Starcraft II with Ryan in the basement. After that, I came back to my room to do more interwebs stuff. Now I will sleep. =] night.
I woke up at noon… ate lunch and dicked around on the internets all day. The parents came home around 3:30 and I started helping my dad fix his email/microsoft outlook issues. Why people use Outlook is beyond me. Why would you want to download emails directly onto your computer when it’s so much safer on the server and in the void of the interspace? Anyway… that whole thing was dealt with in 2 hours and I’ve convinced my dad to just go on hotmail through the browser and to never use Outlook again.
Sorry if I’m a little harsh, but literally, over the past year, every time I’ve come home, he needs me to fix some Outlook problem and I have to call Bell, get the password reset, and things just take a really, really long time. I have no patience for stubborn people who are unwilling to learn and improve.
So after that, we had dinner and after dinner, I did more nothing. Watched 3 episodes of America’s Next Top Model today and am fully caught up. Episode 7 = crazy. Not sure I can say I’m a legitimate fan of any of the girls this season… basically way too much drama.
Yea… boring, slow day. Time to go do some studying in bed and then head to sleep.
A HUGE Domo + lots of shopping + Danusha's dog = a tired Regine
Today has been a long day. Eventful and highly productive (not in the scholarly sense), but really long. The parents woke me up at 11 and told me that I had already wasted half the day by being asleep. Clearly, at 11 AM, half the day has already been done. #theyhavenoidea
So we went to lunch at this Chinese fast food place that was pretty good. After that, we went and did A LOT of grocery shopping. I saw so many little Asian children! They’re so cute =b haha At the first super market, there was this stall that sold newspapers, plush toys and other things. Among those were a large collection of domos! For example:
Guess how much this was? ….. $300. WANT.
At the other grocery store, they had these AWESOME cakes. Like this cute tiger one!
After grocery shopping, we went to the tackle shop to look around. Dad needed to pick up some lures for later that day. Here’re some pics of my adventure:
Wear it… like a haaaaaat.
Finally, we were on our way home. When we were dropped off, dad went to a river in Oakville to do some brown trout fishing. I had a lot of shopping to do, so mother and I went to Dixie Mall. First we shopped at Winners, nothing there, then Urban Behaviour, nothing there. =[ So then I walked into a Mexx, and got a really nice white dress shirt. On sale for like 70% off too! We spent a lot of time in Danier Leathers too. They were having this HUGE sale… I almost got a lamb skin jacket. But I was torn between its ridiculous price tag, despite sale, and wearing an animal for the sake of fashion so I decided not to. Besides, a leather jacket isn’t exactly my thing.
After that, we drove over to Sherway Gardens and walked around till like 6. In the end, bought a jacket from Roots. I <3 Roots! Mother also bought a scarf-thing at Le Chateau. Then finally we drove over to Walmart and I picked up a white/black/silver diagonal striped tie for the White Party this Friday. I’m totally stoked for it!
Got home at 6:30 and we had dinner. Left the house around 7:45 to go to Danusha’s. Met Sky:
He’s only 5 months old! First, we took him out to the park and played a little Frisbee with him ^^ Our game was interrupted a little by another retriever, named Max! We talked to his human for a bit before they went off. After about another 10 minutes, Sky kept wanting to lie down so we decided to walk him home because he was really tired.
Once we got back, we went downstairs to the basement to give Sky his first bath. -_-” I really hope Sky doesn’t associate me with traumatic events from now on haha. He didn’t enjoy his bath at all, but he cooperated and it didn’t take long to finish.
Poor guy… lol
But he made it! He got lots of loving afterwards!
Drying him took a really long time since Danusha + family doesn’t own a hairdryer lol. Towel dried him for like 20 minutes, then Danusha brushed his teeth too. He really liked that, the toothpaste was chicken flavoured lol. We hung out in his room for a little more and talked before I had to head home. Fingers crossed for a summer job at his dad’s company!
The drive home was pretty uneventful. I swung by the site of my elementary school before heading home. It’s been destroyed and a new school is being build in its place. I had a really big urge to drive down to Lakeshore and just sit by the lake… too bad I didn’t bring a jacket and it was getting really late. That’s the plan for tomorrow though.
I was woken up at 7 in the morning to see Heather off because she needed to return her van to her mom and she couldn’t stay with me for the morning. After she left, I went back to my room to crash for two more hours and then my dad woke up up just before 9 to help me take most of my room apart.
In about two hours, I cleared my bookshelf, took it apart, had everything in cardboard boxes, cleared half of my closet, and had everything packed neatly into the back of the van. My bike had pretty much lost all of the air in its tires and the handlebars were starting to rust =[ We had so many good times up Brescia Hill.
The drive home was pretty uneventful. When we got back into Mississauga, dad took me to Canadian Tire to check out some waders that were on sale. They fit me all right, but I didn’t want to buy them just because they were on sale. They weren’t really the ones that I was interested in either.
After that, we went home and I unpacked everything. So far I’ve just kept all of it in the boxes. My major project will be reconfiguring my room once I’m back for real in May. Then I’ll take pictures, and tell you guys all about it.
After that, I was finally able to get on facebook, look at some pictures from last night and blog. Then I had to go to my optometrist appointment. My parents broke the news that for my graduation present, they were going to get me laser eye surgery. AMAZING. Except I’m still a little too young for it… I’ll probably end up waiting another 3-5 years. Instead, I’m getting these daily disposable ones.
Went home, picked the brother up, and we were off to the cemetery in Scarborough to see my grandfather and great grandmother. We spent about 15-20 minutes there before we headed to Markham for some Korean BBQ with my aunt and my cousin.
Do we look alike?
Clockwise from top: Red Bean, Mango and Green Tea. mmm *^^*
After dinner, I drove most of the way home. We stopped by a friend’s place to pick up my dad’s laptop since the friend helped him get rid of the virus and then told my dad to drive home. Being up so early, the move this morning, the super late night last night and the new contacts were all really taking their toll on me. I’m absolutely exhausted right now.
I was supposed to get up at 6, to get to the river at 7 to do some trout fishing, but being so tired and without waders, I don’t think me going would be the best idea.
Yesterday was pretty freaking fantastic. I was awoken around 11 when Heather came over to grab her netbook from Ryan. It got infected with a virus for a second time (the same one that my old laptop currently has, apparently).
After that, I went downstairs and played a couple of hours of Halo with hyoung, then Ryan joined us to go to Cherryhill to grab groceries, lunch, and snacks. Once we finished that, we went back home and played more video games.
I drove hyoung to work around 4, came back, got dressed and then Ryan drove me back to campus to meet with the section to head to Nicole’s for our sectional social. =D
We all looked awesome and it was nice to just hang out, talk and just relax.
That’s a good looking section ;)
Nicole drove all 6 of us to campus because her car is weirdly awesome and has a seat in between the passenger and driver seat in the front lol. We also talked about who would be fined if we didn’t wear seatbelts in her car. Apparently the driver isn’t responsible if you’re older than 16… yea we all put our seatbelts on immediately. j/k! We always wear our seatbelts!
Once we got there, Heather spotted me and she came over and told me I had to give her money. -_-” yes yes, I paid her on the day of too lol. But she looked really pretty ^^
Blake Fly (alumnus!) gave an amazing speech and it was funny, touching and meaningful. It really made me wonder what kind of an alumna I’d be… in like 5 years.
Then we had dinner, according to Nicole, it’s the same dinner that the band’s had for the past 6 years. But no one speaks up =b
Then we had bummer awards, real awards, videos and then loads and loads of pictures =D
Don Wright: Melanie
Brad Masters: Steve, Jordan and Heather
Lee Buckley’s award for Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Awesomeness: Band: Sarah Vandergeest Percussion: Ryan Ferguson
First Year of the Year: Elizabeth
Section Leader of the Year: Me =]
I was pleased with how the awards went! The banquet was fantastic and definitely a huge success. I’ll miss band and I look forward to seeing what direction it takes from here.
All of us!
Then we went to the spoke, got some pitchers. Domestic pitchers for $12!!! That means we got 3 haha. Then Heather, Lindsay, Evan, Sarah came over to nerd it up. We played video games (SSB! lol go Evan), ordered pizza, and watched some Starcraft II live from Korea before passing out.
Woke up at 8:45 this morning which is pretty good for me. Out the door by 9:05 and on campus by 9:20. Got to the computer lab and started working on my final biology lab and it was surprisingly fun. It still took me like 2 and a half hours to completely though.
After that, Heather and I went downtown to run some errands. I had to go to the train station to get an exchange on my ticket yet again. So instead of me taking the train home Saturday morning, I’ll be taking it back to London on Tuesday evening. (I made sure that I’d be back in time for The Biggest Loser =D) Heather went to Galleria Mall to get her hair done. After I was done with my train tickets, I went to find her, and then hung out in the library and read criminology books until she came and got me. She looked very pretty… *^^*
After that, we went for some lunch at Moxie’s! We both ordered a martini each. Heather got the frozen blueberry martini and I got the mango creamsicle martini. They gave us our own shakers and stuff too so that was fun. Thursdays is cheap martini day at Moxie’s apparently, so tell your friends lol
Heather got the lobster and brie sandwich… *drool… it tasted phenomenal. I got the steak sandwich with caramelized onions also yummy, but I was jealous of the lobstery, cheesy goodness that was across the table from me =b
For dessert, we got cocoa liqueur backed chocolate brownie cake with vanilla ice cream and almond chocolate… so… good…
After that, we said our good byes and Heather headed home and Hyoung came and picked me up so that I could go dress shirt, vest and tie shopping for the band banquet tomorrow! She came and got me at 3:30. We went to Masonville and looked for stuff in The Bay, Sears, Suzy Shier, Tip Top Tailors, Le Chateau, etc. but they just didn’t have ANYTHING that was what I was interested in.
Hyoung suddenly remembered that she needed to go to the bank. Luckily BMO is open late on Thursdays so she was able to get what she wanted done done.
Then we drove over to Hyde Park outlets and went to Walmart and I immediately saw the perfect tie for the occasion. So much cheaper too. (Thank you Steff for the great advice ——- Montreal) After that, we drove over to Ricky’s to see if they had nice vests or dress shirts. Nope =[ Then hyoung drove me to Talize and we found the a perfect fit for the dress shirt and vest. Ended up leaving at like 6:05… -_-“
I guess it kind of makes sense for us to finally find the right stuff from the stores we originally intended on shopping at. Then we went home, picked up a couple roommates and headed to Alibi’s for our (mainly + Rebecca) house dinner! Ryan, Hyoung and I shared a pitcher and then Ryan and I shared a pitcher, plus I got the spinach dip appetizer. It ended up being much, much larger than I wanted, so I got Ryan to help me near the end.
We made a quick trip to McDonald’s after that for McFlurries and sundaes! Getting into McDonald’s was stupid… there was the jerk that stopped in front of the entrance to drop his friend off, so Hyoung laid on the horn, and then he got out of the car and she blasted the horn again. He turned to us and said, “shut up.” -_-” Idiot. Then we got into the drive-thru and ordered our ice cream. ICE CREAM!
Went home… I was pretty tipsy at this point and we sat around talking and telling stories. Someone then suggested that we played poker and made me go change into my new clothes lol After that, we sort of disbanded and now I’m up here typing this up.
Yay! for waking up at 5AM to work on your 10 page fungal profile assignment that’s due at 4:30PM but not getting out of bed until 6:30AM! Originally, I’d asked Christine to give me a text at 6 to make sure that I was up since she was up early to study for her bell ringer exam that she had today. I slept through the first one, and was pretty awake when her second one came at 6:20. I texted her back to let her know that I was up and on my way to my desk.
Once I sat down, it was surprisingly easy to get started with the writing. This is probably because I did a presentation on the same fungus two weeks ago and already had most of the information. It was just sitting down and writing that I put off until the last possible moment. Why am I so good at procrastinating? Anyway, at around 9, I went downstairs and put on a pot of coffee, came back upstairs and wrote for another half hour before going downstairs to add some milk and sugar to it. Captivating story, I know.
Anyway, the entire time, I had my syllabus open to make sure that I was doing everything according to plan. It clearly said that both a hard copy and electronic copy were due today at 4:30. However, we had this class at 2:30. The syllabus also said that it had to be handed in to the prof directly, but on Wednesday afternoons, the class is split into two groups, one doing tutorials, and the other in lab with the professor. I was in tutorial this week so I figured I had to run to BGS to hand the paper in and then run to UCC for class at 2:30.
In the end, I finished the paper at 1:56 and fired it off in an email to Heather so she could print it for me because she is awesome. Within about 8 minutes, I finished packing my laptop for class, changing, putting in my contacts and I was out the door. I sprinted about 5/6 of the way to the bus stop which took me about 3 minutes (I couldn’t sprint the entire way… need to get back to working out =_=) and was JUST in time for the bus.
Got to natsci to meet Heather, she handed me my paper, I stapled it and then the two of us bolted to BGS 2nd floor to hand it in. The professor wasn’t there yet so I handed it to one of the TAs who gave me a confused look. I figured it was because he didn’t tell her otherwise about accepting hard copies. I didn’t think much of it because I only had 8 minutes to run back to the UCC for class. I made tutorial with about 2 minutes to spare! =D
Then we had our quiz, and I was online checking out birthday presents for Ben. I must say, I think he will LOVE what I got him ^^ I really wasn’t paying attention the entire time. The only reason why I didn’t leave early like the people I was sitting with is because some of the presenters today were my friends. In fact, I might’ve paid attention to them more than I usually would. Near the end of tutorial, the TA turns towards us and says, “Okay, to reward you guys for staying until the end of tutorial today, we’re going to have a bonus quiz. Take out a piece of paper, put your name on it and write down the name of one of the fungi presented today.” HOLY CRAP, SCORE! Bonus marks ftw!
After that, I went back to the band room to finalize my order for Ben, and then watched an episode of America’s Next Top Model while Heather slept next to me. She had only had 45 minutes of sleep last night because she had a take-home exam due today at 8:30 in the morning. I’m glad she got everything done though =]
We headed to night class at 6, ate dinner, grabbed some coffees and headed to class. During class, I basically browsed tumblr, twitter and online stores (like threadless, thinkgeek, etc). Evan, on my right, browsed tumblr and twitter and Heather, on my left, was checking out Chuck Taylor designs and designing her own pair of Dr. Seuss Chucks.
It was a good last class I suppose, I mean we were let out at like 8:45 when the class is supposed to run until 10. I got home and fully intended on starting and finishing my final fungi lab that’s due tomorrow at 4. It’s a genetic simulation program that we need to figure out. Unfortunately, my computer is too new, and the program wouldn’t load which means that I get to wake up at 8 tomorrow morning to get to campus and work on is and finish it by 11:30.
Since I couldn’t work on my lab, I did what any other sensible gamer would do. Play Starcraft II. Lost a 1v1 (again T_T… this is getting old) and then Juwan came online so we played a couple of 2v2s and we won a couple! =D I’m beginning to think I wasn’t meant to play 1v1s lol. We called it quits around 11:50 and I went downstairs to talk to Hyoung.
After that, I went and showered. While washing my face, I did it a little too vigorously and accidentally thrusted my pinky into my nose… like real high up there. *sigh… Anywho, that’s pretty much all that happened to me today. Hope it was entertaining.
EDIT: I submitted the paper at like 3, electronically. Lots of time to spare =]
Originally, I was going to wake up at 10:30 today so I could be super productive… Ended up waking up at noon, which isn’t too bad I guess. I checked my emails and three points of interest: - My grad composite was ready for pick-up! - I could go in and request 2 extra tickets for convocation for my aunt and uncle who are traveling here from Hong Kong to attend it! - I got an email back from volunteering for Video Games Live Toronto on May 2!!!!!!!! I replied back to the VGL email basically within 5 minutes of it having been sent to me. Then I left for the faculty offices to take care of the first two points.
After that, I came home, had a good talk with Heather, went online to watch some Starcraft II and finish editing the Librarian WMB manual for Scott. Left for the turnover meeting at 5, and it was bittersweet… =] Headed over to The Wave and we had to handle some reservation issues, but in the end we got to our table and all was good. mmmmm buffalo chicken wrap ^^
After dinner, I headed to the bus stop alone, and was standing there when Melanie, Ben and Heather came up and saw that I wasn’t with anyone. Melanie offered me a ride home which I gladly took. So the 4 of us walked over to Melanie’s place and were on our way down Western Road -> Wharncliffe Road and right past my street. -_-” She had completely forgotten that I was in the car, so then we had a good laugh about it, and I told her it was okay and that I could just get dropped off on the way back.
Reminds me of that time she and I went to take some instruments to Music Aid and were stopped at a red light when the man in front of us backed right into us… weirdest and stupidest car accident ever.
Got home just after 9, watched the end of The Biggest Loser with Megan and then came upstairs and I’ve basically done nothing since coming home… I really need to get my 10 page paper done that’s due tomorrow at 4:30… I think I’ll crash now and get up at 5 to get it done. *sigh… I suck
Okay, so maybe me saying that I’d post around 10PM was optimistic… However, I’m still posting once a day!
Slept through my 9:30 class, again -_-” By that time, I really didn’t feel like going to my 11:30, so instead I was pretty productive. Did some laundry, showered and then the gf came over and we spent the afternoon in bed together.
Drove to McDonald’s to get some dinner before band, and then had a pretty kickass recording session. We got through all of the songs we wanted to in one take and then had 20 minutes left over before the end of rehearsal. Scott and I have planned some Librarian parties in April, pretty excited about that! Also planned a sax/fhorn social for Friday, before the band banquet. w00t!
After band, came back, and basically did nothing, ate dinner and watched the spelling bee with hyoung, went downstairs and played some Reach for an hour and then came back upstairs for some Starcraft II with Juwan.
Yea… so looking back, maybe it wasn’t the most productive of days *sigh. Tomorrow, I’ll be waking up at a decent hour, powering through the manual edits and then at least getting through a couple of pages of my paper that’s due on Wednesday.
I’ll update you guys on how that works out tomorrow!
I feel like I've lived on a bus for the past weekend
Last night, Kenneth and I didn’t go to bed until around 4 in the morning. His friends tried to get me to do a funnel… and I was so not interested. I mean I don’t want to seem like this party-pooper, but I can’t believe they thought barging into the room – drunk – offering me a funnel was the best way to get me to party with them. Anyhow, I was supposed to sleep in his bed, but I was still on the computer when he wanted to go to sleep so he slept in the bed and told me to kick him out when I wanted to sleep. Obviously I wasn’t going to do that, so I took the spot on the floor that he’d prepared for himself with towels, pillows and blankets. Then, a couple of times throughout the night, I was reminded that he talked in his sleep. i.e. “Are you serious? What the fuck are you doing?” Then I guess he woke himself up with his voice because he asked me why I was sleeping on the ground. I was kind of like, “uh… You have no idea what you just said there, do you?” lol
Today was a pretty good day. We didn’t wake up until 11, and then we kind of just went online/did nothing. Kenneth worked on his paper, and I helped him with rewording some stuff and then we had burgers for lunch. I packed and then Kenneth called me a cab at 3:30 to get to the station for my 4:30 bus. The taxi driver was pretty awesome! He was pretty much covered in tattoos: face, neck, arms, and probably other areas that I couldn’t see. We had a nice talk on the way to the station and he got me there at 3:50. At the station, I called my mom and told my parents about the shenanigans I’d been up to that weekend. They were upset that the two of us didn’t tell them that we were seeing each other. I understand that, but then part of me is sort of like, why do you need to be informed? *shrug*
The bus was very on time and I tried to beat Typing of the Dead (again) and failed. I always get to the final boss and then fail. Elizabeth beat it last night and I was so jealous, I’ve decided that I need to beat this game ASAP. It’s been like 10 years since I first started playing this game! Argh. I got in to Toronto super early. We arrived at 5:45 which is like 25 minutes earlier than expected. Parents came and got me and we went for some dinner in Chinatown. Yum ^^. Then we went back to the station at 6:55 for my bus that was supposed to depart at 7:30. When I got there, there was a really long line. Good thing I got there when I did rather than at 7:15 when I wanted to because by then, the line had more than doubled and the bus was pulling into the terminal.
Got onto the bus and it had pleather seats! So comfy, and free wireless once again haha. Got in to London around 10:55. Holy crap snow. Though it would’ve been funnier had this happened on Friday. Kind of like Mother Nature’s personal April Fool’s Day to the London area =b. Hyoung came and got me from natsci, and now I’m at home. It feels good to be back in my own area, wearing pjs and being comfy. I’m thinking about starting League of Legends… hmm. Y/N? There doesn’t seem to be a reason not to haha, though I’m sure I’ll still dedicate a lot of time towards SCII.
Sarah was over and Hyoung, Ryan, she and I played a couple rounds of boggle, then some hilarious Pictionary followed by some Sorry. Good times all around… lol… not much else I can say about that. =b
K, I’m babbling now. Maybe I will turn in early tonight? I’ve been severely sleep deprived over the past week. It’s crazy how no school work and a new game can ruin your life in a matter of days haha. It’s okay! I will get better at Starcraft so that I won’t need to do this anymore. It will only take time!
Today has been a really long day. Last night, I ended up staying up until around 6AM and Heather’s laptop didn’t finish its scans until around 3:30. After that I had a pretty good shower and decided that I might as well stay up all night. MPace was coming over at 7:45 to take me to the Grey Hound station because I was going to St. Catherines to visit the brother and play some badminton. Knowing me though, I passed out in bed and hyoung came to wake me up at 7:50ish. I rush packed, and came downstairs, luckily Pace was still there ^^
We went to the station and I was pretty far back in the line. People began boarding the bus, and two Korean girls in front of me let me go ahead of them since they were looking for something in their bag. Guess what? I got the last seat on that bus. YES. Ended up sitting next to some old sketchy looking dude. He was all right for most of the trip. I mostly ignored him and napped. Then 5 minutes before arrival, he got up and out to go to the washroom. Pretty much just bumped into me the entire way and didn’t say “excuse me” or anything. When he came back, I let him back into his seat and he spread his legs apart so wide that he was taking up a quarter of my seat. Where are people’s manners nowadays? Especially some elder people. They’re either the nicest people or complete douchebags. Way to feel entitled >_>
Got into Toronto at 10:30 which was much earlier than I anticipated. My changeover coach to St. Catherines wasn’t leaving until noon so I walked around Toronto, found a TD so I could get some cash and then made a stop at Subway for brunch. I got in line for the bus at 11:20… maybe it was a little bit earlier than necessary, but I ended up being 3rd in line! The bus was pretty sweet. It had extra leg room, outlets and free wifi. The ride itself could’ve been more comfortable - which brings me to “Check list of things to make sure you have a good seat on a coach bus”
- You have a clear window, you’re not sitting beside a window divider because those take up arm room - Make sure the seat in front of yours isn’t in the reclined position. The person in front of you is probably unlikely to move it back up and if you’re awkward like me, you won’t ask them to. - If you end up not being able to get a window seat, try to sit next to a girl. They tend to smell better and aren’t as likely to invade your personal space.
Continuing on, I made it to St. Catherines without any problems. Had to wait for my brother to come get me though. Apparently they got lost on their way to the station >_> Made it back to his residence and I set up camp, watched some GSL and napped because I was completely wiped. Tried to play a couple games of Starcraft II but apparently my laptop has grown dependent on my cooling pad. *sigh
Ordered pizza for the brother and I and watched his roommate play a little League of Legends and then went downstairs to see a couple of them playing CoD. One of his roommates isn’t very nice… and by nice, I mean he doesn’t say hi when you say hi to him. hmph. He and the rest of the roommates went next door to play beer pong, party and be drunk. I wasn’t really interested since when do I get drunk and party with strangers? 1991/1990 babies at that =/
So my plans for tonight? Play more Starcraft II (this time on my brother’s computer), watch some Starcraft II, unless some cool people come online and capture my attention. haha
Tomorrow I’ll be headed back to London around 4:30 and should get in some time around 9:30. It’ll be good to be back in my own bed… oh my comforter, I miss you.
I woke up around noon and never actually made it to my Friday class… oh well, so much for making it to the last class of the year. Went downstairs and Mark and Rebecca were making brunch and Megan was watching The Biggest Loser so I joined her. Mark and Rebecca couldn’t finish their breakfast so the two of us got it! They were so yummy hehehe We kind of felt like little kids being fed and it was wonderful!
After that, Heather came over and we went upstairs to nap and cuddle… we basically passed out until around 7 and then decided to go to her place for dinner. I left my phone over there yesterday… it’s okay! I’ll try to remember my stuff… =/
Hyoung was super nice and I got to drive her car over to Heather’s. Dinner was delicious and I was finally reunited with my phone. After that… I can’t believe that we napped some more.. haha Then Melanie came over to give Ben some congratulatory cake! He got accepted into 4/5 of his grad schools so far. Congratulations!!!
Hwilli’s netbook then got a virus and I came home to have Ryan check it out. It’s now still doing a full scan, so I’m staying up to wait for it. Also watching 30 Rock with Hyoung at the same time.
Come to think of it, there weren’t that many major April Fool’s tricks that stood out this year. The guys at Blizzard Ent. had a hilarious post about a fake patch. Joe Fontanna made a funny radio announcement that tficked a couple of people, and lots of people posted April Fool’s statuses. That’s pretty much all though. Anyone have funny stories from today?
I’ve really missed blogging lately. For the past month, I’ve set aside 1 or 2 hours a day to draw something, (okay.. maybe 2 hours one day to make up for the past 5 >_>) to post onto the blog. I’m going to “kick it oldschool” and do a 30 Days of What I Did Today. I’ll probably do my updates around 10 PM every night. I’ll also try to incorporate pictures in my blogs more. Those are my favourite because I feel like it makes it more fun for the reader as well. So there you have it!
